Without maple syrup, we would be missing out, first and foremost (obviously), on some health benefits.
Maple syrup is a significant source of manganese, with one serving making up 22% of a person's daily recommended intake. It's also a source of zinc. Compared to honey, maple syrup has 15 times more calcium and 1/10 as much sodium. Maple syrup also contains trace amounts of amino acids, and we all know those are great for you, right?!
